Fuel Tank Replacement Program

  • Funding available under the fuel tank replacement assistance program has been extended for the 2010/11 fiscal year, covering the period to March 31, 2011.
     
  • However, in compliance with the Heating Oil Storage Tank System Regulations, 2003, owners of existing heating systems are still required to register their system on or before July 31, 2009. After that date, it will be illegal to operate or deliver fuel to unregistered systems.
     
  • Households who use home heating fuel as their primary source of heat may be eligible for the grant upon replacement of a domestic fuel tank.
