Office of the Comptroller General

Responsibilities

The Comptroller General of Finance assists the Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary to Treasury Board and has delegated responsibility, pursuant to the Financial Administration Act, for the administration and control of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Province with respect to the receipt and payment of public money, accounting policy, books of the Province, financial reporting, financial analysis, advice, internal auditing, payroll, banking and related matters. The Branch is also responsible for administering and collecting the province's own source tax revenues and assessing the financial and economic impact that various proposed projects may have on the provincial economy and treasury.

The Office of the Comptroller General consists of the following four divisions:
